I have to agree with David. I really believe that most people who carry guns with plans to do physical harm to another didn't obtain their guns legally, didn't register them and didn't obtain a conceal and carry permit. They bought them on the street.
My main objection to the legislation is that it would encourage more people to buy guns and as such the chance of these weapons being stolen from the permit holders and ending up in the hands of criminals would increase. I haven't seen the numbers yet but I hear from the Hennepin County attorneys office that weapons on the street have increased. Is that true? Does the CA's office believe it's a direct result of the conceal and carry legislation?
