1. I ride the bus

2. Depending on the weather, I ride the bus from 2 - 4 times (trips NOT
transfers) per day/6 day per week, to 2 -4 times per day (again, trips NOT
transfers)/2-4 times per week.

This is the result of working two jobs/six days per week (my choice), so
there are a lot of trips and even more transfers. I've been riding the bus
since about 1984, when I had to take it from school every day because the
yellow bus (big mobile Twinkie) wouldn't take me to St. Paul from
Minneapolis (where I went to school). I consider myself an "expert" bus
rider in the city, but would still like to add that public transit in
Minneapolis needs major improvements. Not only is the service somewhat
sketchy (just today my first bus was a little late, so I missed my
connection for my second bus - it drove away as I was waving it down from 10
feet away and yes the bus driver saw me but chose not to stop - and
therefore I was late to work), but I think that all public transit should me
municipally owned, free, and upgraded. I'm not saying we should get rid of
the bus, just improve transportation service to get up to speed with this
upcoming century.

One improvement is Personal Rapid Transit. No waiting, no missed
connections, no more grumpy bus drivers.

1. I ride the bus.

2. Approximately, twice per month I ride the 180 Express to the Mall of
America from Downtown, then trudge across the parking lots, fields, and
more parking lots to the 8100 Building. At one time, the 180 Express
stopped at the 8100 Building, but now that the closest stop is the Mall of
America, I prefer to drive. Maybe things will be better with LRT because
there is a transit station being built at the 8100 Building. If LRT is too
much of a hassle, I hope that 35W is expanded, because I am tired of
sitting in traffic jams.

Also, occasionally, my wife and I ride the number 22 in or out of Downtown
from our north Minneapolis home.
