As has been widely reported, Met Council saves $220,000 per weekday the buses don't run. Today was weekday #21. Multiply 21 x $220,000 and you get $4.6 million. A week from today, it'll be up to $5.7 million. Why aren't these savings being put on the table in order to help reach a settlement? That strategy was used successfully in 2001 by Gov. Ventura to resolve the state employee strike after only two weeks. Mark Snyder Windom Park REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
