I thought the appointment of Ms. Jayne Baccus Khalifa, as Civil Rights Director for the city of Minneapolis, was a done deal. The Mayor made the announcement several days ago didn't he? A Citizen Advisory Committee was involved in developing important criteria to be considered for the position, they interviewed finalists and worked with the Mayor in the process. Ms. Baccus Khalifia seems to have excellent credentials/experience for the position. So, what's the problem?
