Eva et al.: I have complete faith that County Attorney Amy Klobuchar will do the right thing--in fact, I have confidence she will move into Attorney General Hatch's office, once he vacates to become Governor, because of it.
Eva--Brian & Basim are really yesterday's news. What interests me more is Councilmember Zimmermann's and Councilmember Lilligren's position on Mr. Sabri's interest in developing housing on the Elroy site in Whittier (previously decided by the community to be a site for light-industrial, i.e., living wage jobs--mind you, with close to $.5 million in NRP funds and federal MILES funds used to prepare the site for such purposes) by supporting a "zoning overlay" proposed by Mr. (bait and switch) Sabri. No environmental impact statement, no traffic study, just co-opting city regulations and Mr. Sabri swallowing up federal subsidies with the aid of the usual suspect--pure ol' liberal guilt. Basim wants to create a ghetto and name it New Mogadishu. Will city zoning codes apply in this part of town? Or is it really about lawn signs and re-election? What this City really needs is Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys and 'Enemy of the People's' Dr. Stockman on the tail of this tackier advancement on the idea of Robert Moses. Is there somone out there able to 'fight for truth and justice with their good trousers on?' If so, please file for election as Councilmember of the Sixth Ward. I have decided to take former Councilmember McDonald's (Nancy Drew in spades) recent counsel on this forum and visit the city election department to research if Councilmembers Liligren and Zimmerman have any money in their coffers with drip marks leading to Mr. Sabri. Now that the case is back in local courts, I expect that County Attorney Amy Klobuchar will keep her promise to prosecute vigorously.
