Members: It's bad form to, in essence, ask the list to shut up.
Feel free to email posters off list if you want to ask people to go offline - or, complain to me if the topic has become non-Minneapolis-specific, or a personal attack, or something else forbidden by the rules. (http://www.e-democracy.org/mpls) Boredom, sadly but necessarily, is not prohibited. What's boring to you might not be boring to others. Likewise, stuff you find interesting might bore others - but you wouldn't want asking you to stop if you still had more to say. There's a delete key for posts that bore you; don't be afraid to use it (it only takes a nanosecond). In the end, the best way to change a discussion is to introduce a better topic. David Brauer List manager PS This is a member advisory and is not debatable. -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Mpls] smoking ban: possible to go offline with this discussion? Email the list manager at [EMAIL PROTECTED] before continuing it on the list. 2. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait.
