Ack! This is driving me carzy(er)! You like the idea of a two year test ban because that's your position, but it totally ignores the positions and rights of others. Consider this, why don't we have two year trail ban of abortions? Have any problems with that? And, please please don't claim that abortions don't cause harm to anyone else. I eat at Manny's. I don't smoke and I don't like secondhand smoke. I've never had a problem. I won't eat at Perkins any more because the places reek of tobacco. I wish that someone would address my example of the caf in Amsterdam. Is there a reason that there shouldn't be SOME public options for smokers to smoke in Minneapolis, just as there are options for non-smokers not to have to breath secondhand smoke? Then it's just a matter of personal choice. If your smoking friends won't go with you to a non-smoking bar or your favorite band won't play in one then maybe it's time to branch out a little. Come to think of it (if I was single), I'd only want to go to non-smoking bars anyway because it'd be more likely to meet people who don't smoke. Michael Atherton Prospect Park REMINDERS: 1.
