Neighborhood residents have requested numerous times for signs to be put up on the door and outside the building of the Chatterbox asking, "Please be courteous to our neighbors by keeping voices down and do not litter!" You could also add urinate but that would probable encourage more people to do it then discourage. I have spoken with the owner (Steve) and his staff at least 8 times and Steve refuses to put such a sign up. I believe such signs will be necessary in residential neighborhoods when the smoking ban happens. People just tend to be louder when they are drinking.
I was at the Chatterbox about 2 months ago and they had signs posted asking patrons to be quiet as they leave. They said something to the effect of 'Please be courteous, babies are sleeping.' I thought it was a nice gesture, but it is up to the individual to keep their voice down.
