Sherman Patterson Jr. said: Our children are on the streets killing one another and residents are living in fear; which has led to depression for some. I challenge myself and all of you out there to bring and end to this madness. This is our watch and we must answer the call to duty.
I ask that the local radio and television stations to call on the people of Mlps to unite against this poison that's embedding itself in our communities. We report and talk about the problems, so lets communicate to the people about coming together and solving these problems through the radio and television resources. Together we can don this. Our children are the future and the future is now! We often talk about 911, but do you realize that a 911 situation is going on in our community? Making a difference isn't cutting it anymore. We must have change, because with change the differences will come. Sherman Patterson Jr. Me: Sherman, what's your plan? My child and his friends aren't on the street killing one another. Right now, they are just trying to keep from getting killed themselves by the children of other parents who aren't raising them right. I would have to say that most of the kids around our house are in that position. They know who and what to avoid and spend a great deal of time maneuvering around it. My family and I have lived through hell during the last week and you're right it's depressing. What's most depressing is the fact that the people who caused my week of pure hell are still living here for at least two more weeks or maybe longer if they don't move and it takes an unlawful detainer. These people are so scary, the property owner won't even come over because she got threatened by them too. Everyone is worried about protecting the rights of these thugs. No one other than the police are concerned about protecting my rights and the police have done all they are lawfully empowered to do. You said "making a difference isn't cutting it anymore. We must have change because with change the differences will come". Brother Sherman those are powerful words and I agree with you 100%. My parting words of the day to you are "Be the change you want to see".... Take Care and have a nice weekend.
