Absolutely!  The City has done exactly that on 50th Street between France and Lyndale 
and it is SLICK!  Traffic moves along steadily at about 30mph, which is a good for the 
neighbor hood, there is ample parking for the businesses and it is much less 
stressful... no more getting stuck behind someone turning left or suddenly 
encountering a parked car.  Why they would not do the same thing for Lake Street is 
baffling.
