Continuing to blame Metro Transit for not planning Park and Ride lots along
the LRT route after Minneapolis City Council decided not to allow them is misplaced anger and it's not going to help anything,....


WM: I remember thinking at the time (the 1980s) that it would make a sort of sense to put park & rides on the edges of 494/694 since, logically, newer housing was going up further out. I wonder now if the council was thinking along those lines--though I can't say I remember exactly who was on board the council at the time. It probably included Rainville, Dzedzic, Sayles Belton, Hoyt, and Shulsted. I think we still had a few Republicans on the council at that point.
