As a downtown resident, one of the things I've most
enjoyed is taking in theater including broadway
touring shows, local theater of all kinds, etc.
Unfortunately after the decision by the city council
to continue their relationship with HTT/HTG and Clear
Channel, I'll have to be taking my theater dollars for
touring shows(and apparently pretheater dinner
dollars) across the river.
Certainly the city council should know well that an
association with Clear Channel is offensive to the
majority political sensibilities of Minneapolis
residents.
I have not gone to see many touring music concerts at
Target and other venues when I noticed they were
connected to Clear Channel completely deflating my
desire to send any dollars their way.
The one fortunate thing about this whole thing is that
now I know that the city's own theaters are connected
with production by clear channel I'll avoid them like
the plague to and encourage my many friends in
Minneapolis and the west suburbs to do the same.
