Like Jeremy I am unclear on many of the issues related to this issue.

Not only am I unclear on the role of Clear Channel as it relates to
determining programming -- I am unclear as to how that role would be
different moving forwards then it has been to date.

My understanding is Clear Channel is involved now. Are all of the dire
predictions about Clear channel's involvement equally relevant to the
current programming decisions, or involvement in programming decisions
that are currently made? Are their economically viable shows that have
not been able to play our market because they are not part of the Clear
Channel "system"? Is there a possibility that Clear Channel's
underwriting of the debt would in fact prevent the HTG from ever
becoming free and standing? And IF the HTG were to want to "sell-out" to
a for-profit company at some point -- wouldn't the proceeds of such a
sale need to reside in some type of "Art Conversion" fund much like when
a nonprofit hospital sells to a for-profit HMO? And if so -- don't the
assets remain accountable to the community?

Man, I use to think I had an understanding of issues like this. <smile>

I've been following the debate over Clear Channel and one big piece has
remained unclear to me. What exactly is the role in this deal of Clear
Channel, and what authority do they have to exercise creative control
over
bookings?

Anyone out there able to answer these questions for us laymen?
