To paraphrase Barbara Lickness:

> I have been reluctant to weigh in on this issue
> because I myself am a former ________. One of the many
> good reasons I decided to give it up was that I found
> fewer and fewer places where I felt comfortable
> _________. Thanks to the constant nagging of my
> husband and son, I finally didn't feel comfortable
> _________ at home any longer.

Go ahead and fill the blanks in with whatever morally
offensive habit, hobby, addiction, preference, or
genetic trait that you prefer and then decide if you feel
it's fair or wise to allow the government to intrude on
your decision.

I believe that it should be the purview of each
individual to make such decisions as long as do
not forcibly intrude on the rights of others to
do the same. As I understand it, there is a
non-smoking jazz club in Minneapolis. Why should
the majority have the power to say that individuals
cannot choose for themselves, when it has no effect
on them other than to be conscious that such "evil"
behavior exists?
