One small bit of information regarding Doug Mann's campaign sign.

While he may list "Green Party" on his sign, his campaign has not been
endorsed by the Green Party.

This appears to be a clear violation of Mn Statute 211B.02 "False claim of support".

The authorities take this rather seriously. Recently, a direct mail service mixed up "Minnesota Farmers Union" with "Minnesota Far Bureau" on a campaign mailing. Even though they faxed corrections to all the newspapers & spent $3,000 on mailing a correction, they were still fined a civil penalty of $800 for this accidental violation. A deliberate one might get a bigger penalty.

In Minneapolis, non-endorsed DFL candidates can put "DFL member" or "DFL'er" on their campaign materials, but if they imply support by putting "DFL Supported" or just "DFL", we will indeed file charges against them. We have done so within just the last couple of years. Thousands of DFL'ers put a lot of effort into going to Caucuses, Ward Conventions, and the City Convention to choose the candidates they want to support. We take it quite seriously when other candidates try to falsely claim that support.
