I wish these two businesses would move over to the Jordan neighborhood.
They wouldn't have to worry about city inspectors here. If you don't
believe me, just drive around and look at all the code violations
everywhere. One question that hasn't been asked; is there a complainant in
either of these cases other then the city inspector? If not and he were a
police officer, the officer would certainly be accused of harrassment.

This whole thing is absurd. How come if you try to walk down the sidewalk
in the warehouse district, it's hard to find the sidewalk for all the
tables. Often pedestrians have to walk into the street to get around. But
three tables on the sidewalk in front of a quiet business in a mostly
residential area, and it becomes a capital offense.

$1500, $2500 fines for trying to improve a neighborhood. Can sometime tell
me how much the TOTAL amount of money this city has gotten from tags given
out in all of the Jordan neighborhood so far this year. I doubt that any of
our slumlords have been fined that much.

When I worked in City Hall and would marvel at the insanity that goes on
there, a friend and co-worker would tell me that I was looking for logic in
all the wrong places. Things sure haven't changed.
