The Minneapolis Arts Commission was created by ordinance 951.010 in 1974 to
foster the development of the arts, to seek financial support for the arts,
to advise the City Council on arts-related matters and to stimulate
participation in and appreciation of the arts by all Minneapolis residents.

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked or received by October 31, 2005

Vacancy:
There are currently seven (7) vacancies for terms beginning February 1,
2006.
Six positions are for two years, the other position is for one year.
Four (4) of the positions will be appointed by the Mayor; three (3) will be
appointed by the City Council President.
Preference will be given to applicants from underrepresented Wards 2, 5, 6,
9 and 13, but all arts administrators, artists and laypersons are encouraged
to apply.
