What is with the Rybak, Samuels team? If the constituency express outrage or concern against either of them it becomes the fault of the candidate. That is so pathetic. If the Police Federation was seeking to place an ad in Startribune, who called Rybak and Blackshaw to give them the heads up? Does Startribune call McLaughlin and his campaign manager to give them a heads up when they feature Rybak in their paper?
Stop accusing the candidates of mud slinging when the constituents speak out against a candidate. We have a Constitutional Right to express our opinions and to take politicians to task. The key word in the Rybak, Samuels camp, and with the Startribune, is "mud slinging." That same mud slinging happened when Rybak ran against Sharon Sayles-Belton. "Now if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black." We have been simmering on the stove for 4 years. We are now at a boiling point. Blame us, not the candidates. I differ from most African Americans. I do not expect Rybak or McLaughlin to do much for the African-American community. I view myself as a realist. Sadly, Rybak has made it clear that we are his last priority, something even Sharon did. That is the reason I voted for Rybak 4 years ago. Simply put, Rybak has disappointed me and that is not an easy task. Michelle Hill Cleveland REMINDERS: 1. Be civil! Please read the NEW RULES at http://www.e-democracy.org/rules.
