Please forward the list where you can purchase E85 gasoline at $1.50 a gallon?

In recent weeks I've seen co-ops on the fringes of the metro area sell it for as low as $1.69/gallon. The city gets its fuel for about $.50/gallon less because they don't pay taxes on it and buy in bulk.

Last I checked it was around $2.40,

Some of the stations selling E85 may be gouging.

and automobiles that run on E85 get much higher gas mileage then standard vehicles, because the fuel does not run as efficiently.

Depends on the vehicle- E85 is a premium high octane fuel- have you priced any dinosaur derived fuels of over 91 octane lately?

Diesel is currently being priced between $2.85 to $3.50 across the state, while it does have 2% bio-diesel it is much more expensive then regular gasoline.

That appears to be a short term blip caused by refineries producing more gasoline instead of diesel to ease the post Katrina shortage. Looking at the long term trends, ethanol and biodiesel are plentiful and will stay near their costs of production for years to come. Dinosaur derived fuels like gasoline and diesel are seeing increasing worldwide demand as production peaks and starts to fall- thusly we can expect continued price increases far above the rate of inflation.
