It does have a query where sorting and grouping is accomplished and it appears
that the memo field is being truncated to 256 characters. Is there any fix to
it as I need the grouping and sorting function?
Thanks! This is the problem....does anyone have a solution?
Dave

In addition to what Todd suggested, are you sure that the control source
of your report has all of the field in it? Memo fields can get
truncated at 256 characters if they are part of a query where sorting
and grouping is done.

Why doesn't "Can Grow and Can Shrink" work when adjusting the properties
of a field that is a memo? The report is truncating the text in the
memo field for unknown reasons. I have made sure there are no other
fields in the way...only the next record in the dbase should print under
it once it has grown to include all data in the memo field.....
Unfortunately I can't get it to quit truncating the memo field in the
report....despite having the Can Grow and Can Shrink properties set to
YES.
Any ideas?
Dave
