I found a solution....just quick summing in the query and simply summed it on the report itself. Dave

Once I remove sum from the query, then I get the memo field reporting all characters on the report. Any way around this....my report has to sum how many records there are as well as show the complete memo field. Thanks again...I have not tried accomplishing the query on the query yet...is that the only way to go? Thank you! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] on behalf of Todd Hannemann Sent: Sat 10/8/2005 6:14 PM To: [email protected] Cc: Subject: RE: [ms_access] Report functions Is the can grow can shrink properties of the detail section of your report set to yes? Todd -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dave Moreau Sent: Saturday, October 08, 2005 5:39 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ms_access] Report functions Why doesn't "Can Grow and Can Shrink" work when adjusting the properties of a field that is a memo? The report is truncating the text in the memo field for unknown reasons. I have made sure there are no other fields in the way...only the next record in the dbase should print under it once it has grown to include all data in the memo field..... Unfortunately I can't get it to quit truncating the memo field in the report....despite having the Can Grow and Can Shrink properties set to YES. Any ideas?
