We have to make a decision soon on a project and we may have to move
to a Philips Arm chip if we can't get TI parts and develop using Linux.
The MSP430F4619 exists. The new core, with 20 bit registers, runs just
fine. The 120k of flash works. There are just a couple of bugs in new
peripheral modules, which are being addressed. The parts should be
available soon. There is a version of the IAR tools which will build
code for the new core. I don't know if that is released, or if what I
have been using is a beta. It seems to work OK, though I haven't done a
huge amount with it so far.
