Hi, just getting started with sccm 2012, I've successfully done a deployment of
the client to my site, I'm looking for tips on cleaning up computers that
probably shouldn't be 'detected'

I did enable several active directory discoveries to find computers, I think
that there are quite a few computers that were decommissioned or renamed, so
there might be faulty computer names in AD right now.

Should I disable the AD discoveries and just use the heartbeat and network
discoveries in this case? I want to pursue any computers that did not install
the client, but don't want to keep looking at computer names that shouldn't be
there.
