Downtown Houston could pass for downtown LA. On the positive side, the food in Texas is really good – New Orleans might be better (except for barbecue), but Houston is right up there. Book your hotels early if you want to stay downtown J Otherwise, you’ll get to experience the famous Houston traffic first-hand. While in earlier years the number of sessions at TechEd allocated to System Center, MDT, community, etc. was smaller than at MMS, the last few years it’s been pretty much the same session allocations. So there hasn’t really been any “watering down” for TechEd. We’ll let everyone know when the TechEd call-for-content goes live. It was interesting last year because the session submissions were rather lopsided: A few topics had lots of interest, a lot of topics has light interest. So people got grumpy when their sessions were declined, while others had multiple sessions accepted.
