If you have to wonder how many minutes you get for a lunch break it's time
to wonder about working somewhere else. I take what's reasonable, most of
the time it's less than 30 minutes, others it's more than 90 minutes. The
only thing that the boss is really interested in is if I get my work done.
Not what time I get in, when I leave, what my lunch schedule is, although if
the shower schedule got off, he'd most likely take an interest. ;')

I heard that beginning Jan 2000, if you work at a computer for more the 50%
or your work hours, then you are entitled to a one-hour meal break. Does any
body know about this law?
I am in California. I looked at the Dept or Labor and the Labor Code, but I
can not find a specific section that mentions this.
