novaxis can do so too, but you have to use a unique ID for
each computer. On Novaxis thentrouble starts because there
is only one computer which can write to one particular
partition. All computers can read from every device. That is
no problem.
This was the way with the first Fdisk delivered with the
novaxis. I have to check again with the latest version to
create 32 partitions (version 1.2)

I think megascsi does not, but I jhust have one megascsi
thus I cannot check this out...

Shouldn't be any problem, since SCSI is somekind of protocol
for itself... Depends on how it is implemented in the
interface.

Another possibility is to remove the terminiator resistors
from the interface.
your chain will look as follows:
interface with terminator <-> harddisk or computer without
terminator <-> hardisk with terminator
