The ESE interface uses some expensive parts, which makes it
technically superior to any other I/F. Your statement is the same as
saying: "I'm not willing to buy a Turbo-R because an MSX2 is way
cheaper" Anyway, the concept of Megascsi is very good: all
hardware/software designs are public domain so anyone can build there
own.

> Well, what's holding you from writing the best soft ever?

The fact that I'm not a very experienced coder. Actually, people say
I've written some of the best Moonsound music ever, which can be
regarded as software too :)

But seriously, software support for european hardware has been
lacking for ages. E.g. there is no drawing program which is able to
fully use the GFX9000 potential. Same for the Moonsound. Let me
remind you of the recent discussion about Z380 projects, all very
nice those specs, but people keep forgetting about the software part.

I know there aren't that many programmers left since most got a life
after all, jobs, girlfriends et all ;)

Let alone the very difficult issue of producing complex hardware
in larger numbers than 4 or 5 pieces, for a reasonable price.

If these problems aren't solved *before* finishing the hardware
design, well, what do you think will happen to those projects?
