 I saw a FDC controller wich was used on home console copiers (Mega
Drive) 
and it's CPU (on the copier mode) is the Z80 running at 3.57mhz .... 
I think that these FDC chip are a possibility to make MSX read HD disks 
It's a SMC chip : 82c765
or Goldstar GS82C765B 
It needs a 16mhz oscilator and there is ready Z80 code on the Copier ROM
...

I think if someone wants to make a diskrom I may dump and give him that
code on the ROM 
of my copier ... (8kbyes)

 The only problem is that I don't know it's pinout or if it is still
available at the
 manufacturer...
