Hello,

>I have the original MSX-version of Snatcher and when you look in the manual
>you see that our main character is introduced as GUILIAN SEED.........Just
>wanna let you know.....

Ah, that I didn't think of that ! I also have the original versions of
Snatcher and
SD-Snatcher (both MSX) and the original of the PSX-Snatcher... If I remember
correctly, the main character's wife was called 'Jamie Seed' in the English
translation of SD-Snatcher by Oasis. She is called 'Jaime' in these manuals,
however. What do you think, should we keep the names as written in these
manuals or go for the more general names 'Gilian' and 'Jamie' ?

>p.s. Snatcher really deserves a good translation....And it doesn't HAVE to
>be an original Snatcher with english texts. A translation on paper would do

This would be a nice idea, indeed. Making some sort of book, containing all
the
English texts. To make it more complete, you could even add the pictures
from the game. But ofcourse there are many problems with this. It is not
easy to design a system on paper which can represent a menu-system in
a computer. And besides, there are SO many texts...

>fine already, or maybe a complete NEW (MSX or PC)-program which does

>nowadays, so a different program which you can run besides playing Snatcher
>is an option, I guess......

Well, the idea was to just re-develop Snatcher for MSX with the English
texts
instead of the old Japanese ones. If you make the program you are talking
about,
you are doing nothing else than programming this game we talked about.
If you'd add the graphics, you would get... Snatcher, right ? Okay, there
are
a few more things that would have to be programmed (e.g. the battle system),
but those aren't that complicated as far as I can see...

Bye,
Rieks
