On MSX models without a buffer circuit between the MSX engine and the
joystick port, you can even blow up your whole MSX engine. And those models
do exist!

Reset your MSX with a joystick? It shorts the 5V to ground and that is a
] sure way to reset, and with some luck blow up the power supply.
