GameBuilder is a program with which you can create fields, characters and
items. That way, you can make games like Metal Gear (same looks, no shooting
though).
The entire program is, just like its result, programmed in Basic, and it was
published by MCM. I had quite some fun with it, created a small game etc...
But not much more. Quite a lot of games were made with it though... "The
vampire, She vampires", "Indiana Jones", "The Castle" (not castle: exellent
btw), "Anger", and well, even more. Most of them (actually all except for
the first one) were released on the MCM 'disksubscription'.
There was also some kind of 'successor', called G.A.M.E. or something like
that. However it was much less easy to use, too difficult for the people who
didn't knew how to code, and too limited for the people who did know how to
code. Only one game was made with it. I don't recall the name but the idea
was based on Qbert.
