] that the DOS2.3X kernel is only the COMMAND2.COM version 2.3x which needs a
DOS2.3x KERNEL is the one that is built into the MSX turbo R. It is slightly
different from the DOS 2.20 kernel. As far as I know, the main difference is
for the CPU switching: The DOS2 kernel of DOS 2.3x ensures on the MSX turbo
R that the Z80 is selected when accessing disks. Unless ofcourse you run my
program (R800-DR) that prevents this behaviour for selected drives.
I do not know if there are any other differences.
I do not see how this difference could explain that MEGA-SCSI works on Korean
MSX2 while IDE does not.
