I don't think it's all the players fault, although you can point to
individual errors. A lot of the blame should rest with the manager.
He picked the wrong team, simple as that.

Arsenal are top of the league (and pulling away now they're winning
at St James' :-( ) because they play how we used to play. From the
first whistle they attack the other team relentlessly, whether
they're 0-0, losing, or 3-0 up. That's why they win games 4 and 5-0.

That's how we used to play (and how we play best). Sitting back does
not suit us, nor does defending a 1-0 lead, so why do we consistently
play negatively? We could have slaughtered City today if we'd only
played an attacking team.

Whatever anyone wants to say about the formation, we only had one
recognised striker on the field. City had two. That's why Carroll
had twice as many shots to save as Nash.

I think this again goes back to practising for Europe, and perhaps
we'll win the Champions League, but to me that's a far second to the
Premiership. I mean really, does anyone know a Barcelona fan to lord
it over? Or an Inter fan that you can have the priviledge of knowing
you beat their team?

However I do know people who support Liverpool, Arsenal etc and I'd
rather know that we'd beat those teams than knocked out people like
Leverkusen or whoever whos fans you'll never meet.
