Is this true. While still preferring to see United as a club, rather
than a PLC, I think usually in PLCs a relatively small part of the gross
profits are distributed in dividends, as opposed to being reinvested in
the business, e.g. buying players. Does anyone have any figures for
United?

If I understand the stock market (and I probably don't) then if
dividends are too high, then the company is seen as not likely to have a
long term future and the stock price falls.

I still think that Real Madrid will crash one day, and when they do
there will be no-one around rich enough to pick up the pieces. European
law governing what local and national governments can subsidise, and
European banking regulations prohibiting banks from making ridiculous
loans seem to be the most likely cause.

Still, I'm glad to see Kenyon go.

Steve
