Even with OPIE, the qcop messages are for the best. You can send the
QPE/Sync flush() signal at the beginning of syncing. This instructs
the apps to save their data to the various data files. Once you are
done doing your syncing of the files you can send the QPE/Sync
reload() qcop message to instruct the apps to read in the new data
from files.
