I can run the command you pasted from the command line just fine. I can
grab the files from /root/Applications/... on the zaurus and sftp puts
them in /tmp. Looking at timestamps, the files in /tmp really were just
copied.

In my digging around to try to find out how to turn on the ftp server, I
did stumble across the 'sync' tab in the security applet. I set that to
allow any, but all it does is take much longer to get the "Failed to log
in to server" message.

BTW--How do you enable the FTP server?
