Opie runs an FTP server on port 4242 by default. You should be able to
ftp to it manually and log in to confirm that everything is working and
that your PC has permission to contact your Z.

If you are compiling from source you can also add a --enable-debug flag
when you run configure. This will create an opie_sync.log file in
~/.multisync/<sync pair number>/ and also enable more verbose output to
the console that might help debug the problem.
