This interests me too; how does one discover whether or not a phone supports IrMC? - http://multisync.sourceforge.net/ suggests that http://www.irda.org/ is the place to find this out (the word IrMC is a link to it), but there does not appear to be any information there about which phones support IrMC, just which phones support IRDA at all. - Doesn't (/shouldn't/can't) the multisync IrMC plugin actually check whether the connected phone is IrMC capable at the start of the sync operation and report an error to the user if it does not? Here is what I see from "MULTISYNC_DEBUG=255 multisync" when I attempt to sync a Nolia 6210 with the Backup plugin: Got message 6 Loaded change counter 0 Loaded change counter 0 Which is not so different to what I see when there is no phone there at all: Got message 6 Loaded change counter 0 Loaded change counter 0 Found no IR devices. Clearly it is finding the phone when it is present, but it's not reporting any problems with getting it to talk IrMC. My assumption is that the 6210 does not support it, but perhaps this is just a simple bug? How do I work this out? - Raz ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
