I have seen pages claiming this, yes. Some of the information that I've encountered 
appears to confuse IrOBEX with IrMC. My (possibly incorrect) understanding is that 
IrMC is performed over IrOBEX, but I'm less than clear on this. When my 6210 is 
talking to my PC, irdadump shows it reporting IrOBEX (amongst other things), but not 
IrMC; I'm not clear on whether or not to expect IrMC to be listed at this level.

In my case it is at least noticing the presence of a device, in that it complains 
about the absence of a device when the device is absent, but does not complain when it 
is present.

Understood; is it possible to distinguish between finding a device at all (no error 
message about not finding a device) and finding a device which is not IrMC capable? (I 
can feel a UTSL coming on here.)
