DBCC Showcontig: This command is used to show the contigencies occured or
happened in the database.It displays the fragmentation information for the
datas(includes metadata too :-) ) and indexes for the specified table or for
the entire database. Syntax is, DBCC showcontig(tablename) Example DBCC
showcontig(venkattable) For getting the info for the entire database just make
a try without specifying the table name like, DBCC showcontig
TablesResultSet: It's an add on option provided by microsoft to retrieve
all the result set based on the condition. For example, consider am having
index option as the condition. Then, result set will be the combination of all
the indexes in the databases.
The syntax is ,
DBCC SHOWCONTIG WITH TABLERESULTS, Option
Example,
DBCC SHOWCONTIG WITH TABLERESULTS, ALL_INDEXES
The above query will retrieve the result set with the combination of all the
indexes in the specified database.
