Hi all, I have encountered a problem communicating with a Gemplus Pro R3 card using a GemPC400 PCMCIA reader ? The GemPC400 reader has no problem reading 211PK-IS card.
I also tried reading the Pro R3 card with SCR331 USB reader, and it works. It seems like the GemPC400 drive/hw doesn't work well with the Pro R3 card. When I tried to 'connect 1' using MuscleTool to my GemPlus Pro R3 card using the GemPC400 READER, it reports 'establishconnection failed or token unsupported'. When I trace the debug for the IFDHTransmitToICC, the status is 0xa2 for the Pro R3 card. Has anyone encounter similar problem? Thank you. Note: 1. OS - Linux 2.4.18 (Redhat) 2. PCSC-Lite - 1.1.1 3. Muscleframe - 1.1.3 4. Ifdgpr400 - 0.3 Best Regards, Paul Tan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Phillips" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Paul Tan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 11:23 PM Subject: Re: IFDHTransmitToICC - Urgent Help > > On Mon, 2002-10-21 at 03:11, Paul Tan wrote: > > Hi Joe, > > > > I tried to 'connect 1' to my GemPlus Pro R3 card using the GemPC400 READER, but it intermittently connect correctly, sometimes it reports 'establishconnection failed or token unsupported'. > > > > However, I have no problem connecting to GemXpresso 211PK-IS. > > > > However, when I trace the debug for the IFDHTransmitToICC, the status is 0xa2 for the Pro R3 card. > > Unfortunately, I do not have access to the GemPlus Pro R3 cards and so > cannot debug this problem directly. > > In general, I've found the stock GPR400 hardware to have > incompatibilities with various cards in the wild.
