I prefer the occasional \barNumberCheck in a complex score; they add to productivity and accuracy.
Adding Makefiles to mutopia submissions would increase headaches rather than reduce them: you don't want volunteers interested in music fussing with a makefile that works on one OS and not another. I learn something new about Lilypond with every score I look at. A guideline document would be good only if is clear that any valid (accurate, legal, etc.) submission is welcome. As a guitarist I have it easy, looking at some of these orchestral scores gives me shivers. -glen On Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 8:17 AM, Pavel Roskin <pro...@gnu.org> wrote: > On Mon, 26 Nov 2012 14:13:40 +0100 > Calixte Faure <calixte.fa...@gmail.com> wrote: > > > I disagree for measure numbering. > > It can be useful on a big score to find the measure with searching it > > number. > > We could number with a step, like every 5 measure. > > Also, I don’t use Frescobaldi often. > > I think Frescobaldi is very lightweight compared to other GUI programs. > > Perhaps there are text-mode editors that can look for the N-th > occurrence of "|" - that could help as well. > > Looking for "% 22" can easily lead to another voice, which would be > confusing.
