Me too. I was thinking of using zoneminder and have been experimenting with it. I haven't tried it yet but there is a mythtv plugin for zonemimnder. It's talked about here: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/MythZoneMinder > motion can generate an MJPEG stream and set up a loopback device to > deliver the camera data to the system. The MythZoneMinder wiki page says there are screens to view live camera shots. I don't know what would be available using a mythtv / mvpmc box though. There may be a quick solution. The mvpmc box has vnc build into it. But there is no feed back (key presses returned to the vnc server) last I heard. Just the ability to be a vnc client and see the screen of the server. I haven't tried it for some time. However, if you were a linux box you could start a vnc server on a virtual screen (i.e. leaves your main console alone for you to use) and run something like zoneminder on it. Then server that up vnc style to the mvpmc box. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
