Hi Jase welcome to the mailing list. Do you have a way of compiling for the diskstation? If you, do there is the on my mvpmc web site there is the source for the mvploader program that will give you bootp. http://www.mvpmc.org/~mvallevand/mvploader.zip Insider is the original code which actually has a built in tftp server.and I modified it to use an external tftp. If you can't compile, I continue to think turning off there router's dhcp is the best option. I'm assuming you NAS and router are both on 24/7. Don't assume the quality of the router's dhcp is better or safer, some people have that worry.
