I know this is jumping back to a bit of an older topic, but I've been
running the above dongle for quite a while now. We recently started
watching a 6 hour mini-series (Tin Man) recorded as three 2 hour long
episodes. It wasn't until watching this set of recordings that I saw
the audio chop resurface with this dongle. Thus far, I've only seen it
twice (during the second recording only). In both cases another jump
(once backwards once forwards) corrected it.

The changes appear to improve the situation dramatically, but don't
appear to completely correct it.
