I'm sure that this, like most of my points, isn't going to work
equally well on all wikis. I think it really is the better choice for
Wikibooks, however, at least for most of our books. Maybe the
different needs could best be served with a checkbox or some other
kind of toggle that would allow an editor to judge for themselves the
aesthetic and environmental tradeoffs in creating a book.

It's not BAD the way it is now, but I personally think that for my
applications it could be better.
