I use Jott.com to do voice notes, then I don't have to transcribe them. For taking notes and web clippings, I used to use OneNote, but I was often frustrated that I didn't have my notes when needed them. Now I use Evernote and I can access notes on my PC, Mac or the Web (and kinda on a WM smartphone). I would love to be able to easily link Evernote notes to to-dos or create task directly from Evernote. Right now I use tags that reference my to-dos in MLO.
