Inheriting colour formatting is a very useful feature but is limited by the fact that it over-rides the special colour formats for tasks hidden in ToDo and those marked as projects. As a result, I can colour code small task clusters but if I colour code major areas of my outline (eg work and personal tasks), my outstanding projects (ie those with no active tasks), do not stand out in my ToDo list anymore as their formatting is over-riden. Also, in my outline it is no longer possible to clearly see those tasks I have hidden from the ToDo list (which I like to think of as inactive tasks).
If I was able to set formats for these types of tasks in the Options menu, and have these formats over-ride the inherited formats, then I would be able to use colour formatting more generally. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
