However, there is a big disadvantage to 2 - namely that it can screw up your task ordering if you use Weekly Goals because of the completely stupid way that MLO applies the Weekly Goal score boost to the child task twice - once because the child inherits the boost that has been applied to the parent and once because MLO (for a reason that nobody has been able to explain) then applies the boost again to the child.
So a task that appeared exactly where I wanted in my ordering, when I add a child, the child jumps to the top of the ordering. Grrrr. This is the feature that I hate the most in MLO. Not only because it causes all sorts of problems for me but because nobody can explain its value in the first place.
