Ok - I can see how you would want to keep that facility.   I don't work that 
way so , I guess we are looking at another option - 'When marking done, set 
to next recurrence which is in the future'
 
Note: I don't use the option to increase the priority of tasks as they 
become more overdue so when I mark such a task done, the next recurrance 
appears immediately at the top of my To Do list which doesn't really make 
sense
